| Error Messages With the Demo Version,
when I try to login using the supplied User ID and Registration Code, I get the
following message: This problem deals with not having write permissions set on the database for internet user. It may occur when you use Windows NT or Windows2000 with NTFS file system to install InstaIntranet. To solve this error you must enable write permissions the directory where the Access database resides for the IUSER_<severname> Account. Your server administrator is the only one who can do this. The "Operation must use an updateable query" is an NT (Windows2000) Permissions problem. This error occurs when the person browsing the site doesn't have sufficient permissions to complete the necessary transaction to the database. If you are not an administrator on the web server, you will need to ask your Web Hosting Provider to make this change for you. To fix this, 1use File Manager to find the folder holding your database (typically Inetpub/wwwroot/Data & Inetpub/wwwroot/File). Note that this is done in file manager and not the Microsoft Management Console. 2Once the folder is located, right mouse-click on the folder and select Properties. The following dialog box appears. 3Select the Security folder. Next, click the Permissions button. Next, 4select the Anonymous User Account and set the Permissions to Change (RWXD). In this case the Anonymous User is Everyone, however the name varies from one system to another. 5Click OK when finished.
