Read Me First : Important Information about InstaIntranet 2.12

InstaIntranet is Browser-based. PWS (Personal Web Server) or IIS (Internet Information Server) must be installed prior to InstaIntranet installation.
Windows 95/98/Me --> PWS  --- Download PWS for Windows95/98  (16M)
Windows NT4 --> IIS4  --- Download IIS 4.0 for Windows NT (You can also find IIS in your Operating System CD)
Windows 2000/XP --> IIS5

The default initial Authorized Password is empty (null). It is not needed to enter anything in the password field if it is the first time you are using it. Just leave the Authorized Password field blank, then click OK to enter the System Settings page and add new users.  You can change the administration password later in the System Setting -> Authorized Password Registration

Netscape is no longer supported. There are some features that are not supported in Netscape, so we strongly recommend using the most current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer to view InstaIntranet. You can get the latest version at the Microsoft website.

Attention Windows NT/2000/XP users:

If you are using Windows NT or Windows2000 with NTFS file system to install InstaIntranet, you must enable write permissions the directory where the Access database resides for the IUSER_<severname> Account. Click here for details.

However, FAT file system is recommended. In a very few cases, NTFS file system with "Service Pack" may cause document upload problems and other permission problems.
